Your mission

We are looking for a Junior Application Scientist (m/f/d) with a strong focus on Cell culture, single cell dispensing and technology validation.

Join our headquarters in Berlin (Germany) if you are passionate about biotechnology and new instrumentation that bring more automation and efficiency into drug discovery and single cell -omics development workflows to produce therapeutic proteins, gene and cell therapies. The ideal candidate is an analytical team player, who feels comfortable working in a matrix environment. The candidate brings experience not only in mammalian cell culture and single cell cloning but is also tech-savvy and familiar with verification and validation activities in product and feature development. This role will become a power user of our automation technologies. This is a hands-on R&D position with great potential to shape the next generation of tools for life science!

Responsibilities

Work with our interdisciplinary R&D Team on the next generation products and protocols for cell line development and drug discovery
Run verification and validation plans of new products, features and software
Become an expert and power user of our latest technologies and upcoming products
Verify and validate cell line development and assay protocols on automated platforms
Proactively investigate and resolve problems, identifying root cause and proposing process improvements
Culture basic and advanced cellular models with good laboratory practices.

Your profile

Master’s degree in the field of biotechnology, molecular and cell biology or similar, or bachelor/BTA with at least 5 years of laboratory experience.
Proven experience in aseptic mammalian cell culture techniques.
Oids (spheroids, organoids, tumoroids) experience is a plus
Track-records of handling sophisticated laboratory instruments (Fluorescence microscope, Flow cytometer, Liquid handler, laboratory Robots) and associated software are desirable
Experience in testing, verification and validation procedures of new products and features is desirable
First experience with liquid handling equipment and microscopy techniques is a plus
Getting-Things-Done Mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent English communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams. German is a plus.

Ihre Aufgaben

Wir suchen Dich als Junior Application Scientist (m/w/d) mit starkem Fokus auf Zellkultur, Einzelzell-Dispensing und Technologievalidierung.
Komm in unseren Hauptsitz in Berlin (Deutschland), wenn Du begeistert bist von Biotechnologie und innovativen Instrumenten, die mehr Automatisierung und Effizienz in die Wirkstoffforschung und Single-Cell-Omics-Workflows zur Produktion therapeutischer Proteine, Gen- und Zelltherapien bringen.

Du bist ein analytischer Teamplayer, der sich in einer Matrixorganisation wohlfühlt. Du bringst Erfahrung nicht nur in der Säugetierzellkultur und Einzelzellklonierung mit, sondern bist auch technikaffin und vertraut mit Verifizierungs- und Validierungsaktivitäten in der Produkt- und Feature-Entwicklung. In dieser Rolle wirst Du Power-User unserer Automatisierungstechnologien. Es handelt sich um eine praxisnahe F&E-Position mit großem Potenzial, die nächste Generation von Werkzeugen für die Lebenswissenschaften mitzugestalten!

Aufgaben

Zusammenarbeit mit unserem interdisziplinären F&E-Team an Produkten und Protokollen der nächsten Generation für Zelllinienentwicklung und Wirkstoffforschung
Durchführung von Verifizierungs- und Validierungsplänen für neue Produkte, Features und Software
Expertise aufbauen und Power-User:in unserer neuesten Technologien und zukünftigen Produkte werden
Verifizierung und Validierung von Zelllinienentwicklungs- und Assay-Protokollen auf automatisierten Plattformen
Proaktive Untersuchung und Lösung von Problemen, Ursachenanalyse und Vorschläge zur Prozessverbesserung
Kultur von grundlegenden und fortgeschrittenen Zellmodellen unter Einhaltung guter Laborpraktiken

Ihr Profil

Masterabschluss in Biotechnologie, Molekular- oder Zellbiologie oder einem ähnlichen Bereich; alternativ Bachelor/BTA mit mindestens 5 Jahren Laborerfahrung
Nachweisliche Erfahrung in aseptischen Säugetierzellkulturtechniken
Erfahrung mit OIDs (Spheroide, Organoide, Tumoroide) ist von Vorteil
Erfahrung im Umgang mit anspruchsvollen Laborinstrumenten (z. B. Fluoreszenzmikroskop, Durchflusszytometer, Liquid-Handler, Laborroboter) und zugehöriger Software ist wünschenswert
Erfahrung in Test-, Verifizierungs- und Validierungsverfahren neuer Produkte und Features ist wünschenswert
Erste Erfahrungen mit Liquid-Handling-Geräten und Mikroskopietechniken sind ein Plus
„Getting-Things-Done“-Mentalität und Fähigkeit, eigenständig in einem schnelllebigen Umfeld zu arbeiten
Hervorragende Englischkenntnisse und Fähigkeit zur Arbeit in interdisziplinären und multikulturellen Teams; Deutschkenntnisse sind ein Plus
