Field Service Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team, where you will have the exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge Scienion and Cellenion technology for various applications, including microarrays, biosensors, microneedling, and single-cell dispensing, amongst other innovative applications. This is a field based position, with extensive travel in the UK and Ireland but be able to support in other regions when required.

Your responsibilities

In this exciting position, you will be the technical interface between our customers and our internal development team. You will ensure that our innovative life science systems are used optimally and continuously improved.

Technical problem solving: You will analyze, identify, and resolve malfunctions in applications and systems.
Second- and third-level support: You will assist our customers with complex technical issues.
Error analysis & optimization: You will continuously investigate and improve customer applications to ensure the highest quality.
Maintenance & repair: You will perform annual PMIs (preventive maintenance inspections) and on-site repairs.
Training & education: You will conduct internal and external user training and machine training to increase knowledge and productivity.
Documentation: You create and maintain technical documentation, error logs, user manuals, and ISO documents.
Customer communication: You process support cases via our helpdesk ticketing system and actively seek feedback to continuously improve our products.
Quotation preparation: You prepare technical quotations and send them to our customers.
Travel within the territory as needed. Overnight travel is approximately 50% as required

Your profile

You enjoy solving technical challenges and working closely with customers and colleagues.

A degree in Engineering or a comparable qualification
3+ years of experience in a related field or in-house service required
Fluent English is required. Additional European languages are an advantage
Experience in a life sciences work environment
Willingness to travel more than 60% of the time
Must have a UK driving licence and access to a car
Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with customers
Team spirit, initiative, and a solution-oriented approach to work

Wir suchen dich als motivierte:n Field Service Engineer, um unser Team zu verstärken. In dieser spannenden Rolle arbeitest du mit modernster Scienion- und Cellenion-Technologie für vielfältige Anwendungen wie Mikroarrays, Biosensoren, Microneedling oder Single-Cell-Dispensing – und weiteren innovativen Projekten. Die Position ist im Außendienst, mit häufigen Reisen innerhalb des Vereinigten Königreichs und Irlands – bei Bedarf auch darüber hinaus.

Deine Aufgaben

Als technische Schnittstelle zwischen unseren Kund:innen und unserem Entwicklungsteam sorgst du dafür, dass unsere innovativen Life-Science-Systeme optimal eingesetzt und kontinuierlich verbessert werden.

Technische Problemlösung: Du analysierst, identifizierst und behebst Störungen in Anwendungen und Systemen.
Second- und Third-Level-Support: Du unterstützt unsere Kund:innen bei komplexen technischen Problemen.
Fehleranalyse & Optimierung: Du prüfst und verbesserst Anwendungen, um höchste Qualität sicherzustellen.
Wartung & Reparatur: Du führst jährliche PMIs (Preventive Maintenance Inspections) und Vor-Ort-Reparaturen durch.
Schulung & Training: Du führst Trainings für Anwender:innen und Kolleg:innen durch – intern und extern.
Dokumentation: Du erstellst technische Dokumente, Fehlerprotokolle, Benutzer:innnenhandbücher und ISO-Unterlagen.
Kund:innenkommunikation: Du bearbeitest Supportanfragen über unser Ticketsystem und holst aktiv Feedback ein.
Angebotserstellung: Du erstellst technische Angebote und verschickst sie an Kund:innen.
Reisebereitschaft: Du bist regelmäßig unterwegs – rund 50 % mit Übernachtung.

Ihr Profil

Abschluss im Bereich Ingenieurwesen oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung im technischen Außendienst oder Innendienst
Fließende Englischkenntnisse, weitere Sprachen sind ein Plus
Erfahrung in der Life-Science-Branche
Hohe Reisebereitschaft (über 60 %)
Gültiger UK-Führerschein und Zugang zu einem eigenen Auto
Kommunikationsstark und kundenorientiert
Teamplayer mit Eigeninitiative und Lösungskompetenz
